Create Your First List & Task
Download Ango Tasks on iPhone or open the
web app. Sign in with the
same account on each device to keep your tasks together.
-
Create a list. Use + List on iPhone, or the new
list control in the web sidebar. Give it a name you’ll
recognize.
-
Add your first task. Use New task, or type
directly into a list on the web.
-
Set a due date or priority. Add a due date or
mark an important task as a priority.
-
Return to Today. See tasks due today across
your lists.
Start small: a personal list, a work list, and one list for
something you’re looking forward to.
Organize Lists & Folders
Lists hold your tasks. Folders bring related lists together. Keep
a project, a trip, or a household organized without mixing
everything into one long checklist.
Today, Priority & Overdue Smart Lists
Today gathers tasks due today.
Priority brings important tasks together.
Overdue helps you revisit what needs a new plan.
Subtasks, Notes & Attachments
Open a task to add subtasks, notes, attachments, voice notes,
dates, and reminders. Search and tags help you find it again.
Natural Language Task Entry
Natural language input helps turn a thought into a dated task. Try
adding “Call the dentist tomorrow” or “Water the plants every
Sunday.” Review the detected date and recurrence before saving.
For a more specific schedule, open task details and set the due
date, time, reminder, or repeat options directly.
Create Lists from Photos, Voice, Text & AI Chat
1. Create a List from a Photo
Open Smart Extract and choose the photo input. Take a photo or
select an image of a handwritten list, whiteboard, or document.
Extract the tasks, review the suggestions, and create a new list
or add them to an existing one.
2. Create a List with Your Voice
Choose audio in Smart Extract and speak your tasks naturally.
Review the tasks extracted from your recording, edit them if
needed, and save them together in a list.
3. Create a List from Pasted Text
Choose text in Smart Extract, then paste an email, meeting notes,
or a long paragraph. Ango finds the tasks so you can review and
save them without retyping each one.
4. Create a List through AI Chat
Open Ask AI and describe the list you need, such as “Make a
packing list for a weekend away.” Review the suggested tasks and
save them to a new or existing list. You can also ask AI to find
tasks, reschedule work, or help plan your day.
Free includes 20 AI requests per day. Premium includes 200. Ask
AI, Smart Extract, and AI subtask generation share that daily
allowance.
Calendar Views & Google Calendar Sync
Open Calendar and choose Day, Week, or Month. Add dates and times
to tasks to see how they fit into your schedule.
Google Calendar sync requires Premium. In the iPhone app, open
Settings → Google Calendar Sync and follow the sign-in flow.
Select the calendars you want to sync. Once connected on iPhone,
you can manage calendars and sync settings in the web app. The
built-in day, week, and month views are included in Free.
iPhone Duo Split View
On the open display, Ango Tasks can show lists and tasks side by
side. Open a task to keep its details beside the list. The layout
responds to the display size, orientation, and fold position.
Use the Duo action bar for search, Ask AI, voice capture, or a new
task. Fold the phone to return to a focused view without losing
your place.
Focus Mode: Full-Screen Checklists
Focus mode is available in the iOS app. Open a list’s menu and
choose Focus Mode, then work through the tasks in that list.
Work through the checklist, see your completion progress, and
return to the main app when you’re ready.
Location-Based Reminders
In the iOS app, add a saved place and connect it to a list through
the list’s location reminder options. Choose the place and enable
the reminder.
When you arrive, Ango Tasks can remind you about the list’s
unfinished tasks. Location reminders require the appropriate
device permissions.
A groceries list tied to your usual store is a useful place to
start.
Share Lists & Manage Permissions
Use a list’s sharing options to invite someone or share a
supported invitation link. The other person signs in to Ango Tasks
to accept and access the list.
Choose the available access level that fits how you want to
collaborate. Review members and permissions in the sharing
settings.
Connect to ChatGPT & Claude
With Premium, open Connect to AI in Settings.
Follow the connection instructions for a supported assistant,
including Claude or ChatGPT.
Review the permissions when connecting. You can view and
disconnect connected assistants from Settings.
Widgets, Siri & Shortcuts
On iPhone, add Ango Tasks widgets to your home screen for a glance
at your day. Siri and Shortcuts offer other ways to capture and
work with tasks.
You can also import from Apple Reminders through the iOS app’s
settings. Review the import options before bringing your lists
across.
